What are plugins?

amigopod offers a series of software plugins which can be used to add extra features and funcionality to the core visitor management solution.

Plugins are individual software modules that can be assembled together to create a unique web application.

Building the application from a collection of plugins has several benefits: Image

What is Secure-Wrap?

Secure-Wrap is a software packaging technology. It offers these benefits:

  • Tamper Proof: Secure-Wrap packages cannot be modified after they have been created.
  • Publisher Verification: Secure-Wrap packages are digitally signed by the publisher, and only packages with a valid signature are accepted for installation.
  • Contents Verification: Secure-Wrap packages can determine whether the contents of the application have been modified after installation.
  • Single File: Each plugin is compressed and stored in a single file for distribution and ease of installation. Updates from the Internet are also supported.

Hotspot Manager

With the amigopod Hotspot manager, customers are able to accept real time credit card payment processing using their existing wired or wireless infrastructure.  Full customisation of payment plans, customer details, invoices and a captive portal provide the ultimate in flexibility.  Many businesses wanting to run a commercial hotspot or business center, often have the choice between a simple AP with a thermal printer and 3 buttons or a complex billing and accounting solution with revenue share provided by a large existing ISP.  amigopod gives customers a simple yet comprehensive interface to provide Internet access, generate billing and usage reports as well as customer invoices.  You can choose what customer information to collect, how to deliver account details and the complete look and feel.  amigopod also provides a self registration feature, which allows customers to sign up and register for free access based on your predefined network access policy for events such as seminars, trade shows or conferences.

About Hotspot Manager

Hotspot Manager provides all the tools you need to build a network featuring self-provisioned visitor access.

This is how it works:

  • Your customer associates to a local access point and is redirected by a captive portal to the login page.
  • Existing customers may log in with their Hotspot username and password to start browsing.
  • New customers click on the Hotspot Sign-up link.
  • On page 1, the customer selects one of the hotspot plans you have created.
  • On page 2, the customer enters their personal details, including credit card information if purchasing access.
  • The customer's transaction is processed, and if approved, their visitor account is created according to the appropriate Hotspot plan.
  • On page 3, the customer receives an invoice containing confirmation of their transaction and the details of their newly created visitor account.
  • The customer is automatically logged in with their user name and password, providing instant Hotspot access.
