LDAP / AD Integration – is designed for Corporate Access networks where the organisation wishes to empower any authorised employee to be able to sponsor visitors onto the network. Accessing the amigopod web interface, the user enters their standard Active Directory credentials to login and create the guest account. A full audit trail is recorded to track which employees are sponsoring guests onto the network. This integration avoids the need to maintain multiple user database within a corporate deployment.

Reporting Manager – is used by any customer wishing to understand the usage of their guest network. Based on RADIUS accounting data, the amigopod can generate granular and informative reports for management and IT departments. An extensive set of default reports are available along with a graphical Report Editor that allows customers, partners or amigopod as a professional service to develop new custom reports.

High Availability (HA) – is an active/standby configuration that can be setup between a paired set of amigopod appliances. It presents a single shared IP Address across both boxes that will fail-over to the secondary in the event of a failure on the primary. It is also responsible for database synchronisation to ensure consistent reporting data and state of authenticated users. This is typically deployed in large installations for Public Access and multinational enterprise customers.

RFC 3576 Support – is often required by Public Access where they wish to keep track of a visitor’s usage and then disconnect or rate limit the user if they exceed their download allowance. This feature requires configuration on both the amigopod VMA and the wireless controller and therefore is limited to only those controllers supporting RFC 3576.

Browser Detection – amigopod Web Logins and Self-Registration pages can be configured to detect the user’s browser type and present a customised login experience which is optimised for that browser type. This is typically used in Public Access and educational environments where a mix of different device types will be used.

Location Aware Content – amigopod have developed an API extension that allows it to draw on external location data from location appliances or data sources to present location specific content or user experiences. This is of particular interest in the Public Access environments for local advertising and promotions.
